    • The ‘AI Camera’ item (available from the previous game versions) was retired.

    • The dialogue options were replaced with a more common and simpler Protest / Ignore / Hesitate / Accept / Embrace set.
  • Bug fixes:
    • The experience shown when the top level was reached was incorrect.
    • When using character zoom, scroll bars were not shown properly.
    • It was possible to use vouchers during certain procedures on the same body parts – this resulted in weird behavior.
    • The actions tooltip is now not clipped.
    • Auto-save (when enabled) did not run after finishing Club sessions.
    • Scar vouchers sometimes did not work properly.

    • Character-dependent Club actions will only be available when certain relationship stages are reached.
    • The level will be reduced to accommodate the new experience requirements.

  • Gameplay rework:
    • All previous body-related expectations were moved to the room-level requirements and interests, and are now displyed in the tooltip. Some of those are required to enter the room, while others would only provide a bonus score if matched.
    • Opening an ending now does not complete the game, and allows exploring alternative endings without restarting the game.
    • Clothes-related expectations are now sorted and displayed in particular columns depending on the target body part.
    • Any expectations that were partially matched, or not matched, and stay for the next round, are marked with an ‘!’ mark and now can only be matched exactly (partial match will not work); this change was done to reduce the value of partial matches (e.g. bra) so that changing clothes was done more frequently.
    • Makeup and wigs now cannot be changed during the session (let’s say, not to break the performance image); there is little value in these now that most of the body-related expectations are available before entering the room.
    • More details are now available at the end of each session.
  • Balancing:
    • Hitting the dislikes limit in the last round will now not fail the session.
  • Other updates:
    • Clothes that cannot be used are now not shown during the sessions – to save space and reduce noise.
    • Actions that cannot be performed because the partner is missing are now not shown on the small screens – to save space.
    • Last rooms of each line now cannot become low-level.
    • The viewers’ info was moved from the top to the left – to save space (the viewers’ block takes less space and looks better on small screens).
  • Bug fixes:
    • Using the ‘no-scars’ voucher did not reset scar recovery and caused scars-related expectations not to work properly – this was fixed.
  • Side effects:
    • The level may change a little (one up or one down) after re-balancing the leveling.

    • Fixed the ‘new’ chat icon not disappearing.
    • Big bras were unlocked much later than the respective breast surgeries became available – this was fixed.

    • The level may change a little bit when opening old saves with the new version.
    • Some of the already seen dialogs may pop up one more time.

Developer Notes:

Wandering Ryo has been developed as a pet project over many years. It started as an attempt to gamify existing art (various looks and clothes for the character) and later also became a way of learning / improving Javascript and related programming skills.
The game development had its bursts and slack periods, witnessed various kinks and moods over years of development, and so may look inconsistent here and there, both in art and storyline.
The ultimate goal of the game would be unlocking all possible looks for Ryo, which would require opening all endings, purchasing all the items, doing all activities, and completing all the challenges.
In addition to the PC brower, the game should look and work fine on mobile devices as well (landscape-oriented), and is available both offline (a single HTML file) and online (the link is available below, and also in the ‘About’ box of the game).
Surprisingly, after all this time I enjoyed playing the game, which hopefully suggests that it is not a total waste. That said, I was the only tester of it, so while it looks playable and clear to me (and bug-free, of course), it may be not for others, so feel free to report anything that annoys or is inconvenient.

Thanks to the feedback in this thread, some of the aspects of the game were improved a lot (e.g. dark mode was added, gameplay was simplified and sped up, and there is no need to replay the game to open all the endings)

Plans and Progress:

At this point I consider the game pretty much completed (the way I imagined it at the beginning). There are features that I may work in the future if I have the time (and desire). These include:
