Overview:
It has been over one hundred years since The Great Exile that saw nearly all of humanity in a desperate flight back to their ancestral homeworld. Now Aphrodisia is in more chaos than ever with a great multi-factional demon civil war all vying to call themselves the one and only Empress of the Demon Empire. After spending the past century trapped as a prisoner-guest of a mysterious Enchantress, you now return to the ruins of a kingdom you once called home and fulfill your destiny in The Restoration of Aphrodisia!​

– Added new music for Whitetail Watch. Track is by CaelusWindcat.
– Added new merchant in Whitetail Watch, Cynthia Scissor, who specializes in selling recipes for alchemy. She can be found in the garden just outside Herbs and Happiness.
– Added new merchant in Whitetail Watch, Darla’s Deeply Discounted Delights. This pixie currently only sells one item, the Ring of Blindness, which imposes a -10 perception.
— This is intended for players who are interested in reducing their perception to deliberately reveal more traps for curiosity’s sake.
– Added new event, the Kitsune in the Corner. Currently she can be found in the Mad Mare tavern in Whitetail Watch, but will likely be moved to a new tavern near or in the Vivian Plains in the future.
— This event is about 30 pages and involves inanimte content. The inanimate tag must be enabled for this to be interacted with.
— This event is written by a first-time community writer, Morowins.

Miscellaneous
– The bartender in The Drunken Starfish tavern in Aledock Town now has some dialog option to offer tips on where to seek healing, as well as suggests the party do some fishing for Joyce the fishmonger
– When zero followers are transformed in a transform follower effect, no log is displayed at all instead of the log stating “0 followers have been transformed into…”

– The point of interest attraction buttons (trading, recruiting, transferring companions+followers, healing, etc) should no longer be hidden after selecting any choice buttons.
— To prevent sequence-breaking, they should be visible but non-interactable / grayed out anytime the Leave button is not also present. If the leave button become enabled again, the attraction buttons should also become interactable again.
Cheat/Debug controls (patreon-backer builds only)
– The Jump to Random Trap button is no longer covered up the newer Forget All Read Books button

Bugfixes
– Possible bugfix for Settings panel now loading when the game is currently running with an unsupported resolution, such as 2400×1600.
– Fixed rounding issue with battle AI damage calculations leading to Hatfellow to never attack the player when they are completely alone in the battle against him
– Fix for companions in a female form showing them losing male genitalia and gaining female genitalia + breasts when multi-transformations occur
— This was happened in the Amour Aquatic quest upon being transformed into mermaids.
– Bugfix for asking how Vyndaii feels about you breaking the conversation when relationship with her is exactly 10
– The kitsune form should now give the Lustful Impulse and Distracting Illusion abilities, the same as it does for followers.
– Bugfix for post-feast battle breaking in the Deployment stage when the party has exactly 4 combatants

Miscellaneous
– Using potions that restore followers’ base form now also shows that follower’s base sex, as well as their current level.
— This should help players prioritize stronger / higher level followers easier
– Reduced and centered the interaction radius of most loot containers. If anything can no longer be interacted with when directly on top of it, that is a bug.
– The Hatfellow Estate game room now uses a specific door that requires the associated key to unlock.
— There is still nothing in this room, so it doesn’t matters if players had that key removed via quest cleanup. In future games this will make more of a difference.
— In the unlikely but possible scenario your game was saved in that room, the party should be snapped outside into the hallway automatically to prevent being locked inside forever
– All campaigns (new games) should have a unique identifier Guid (Globally Unique Identifier) which should never change after a game begins.
— Existing save games should have one assigned when migrating to this game version.
— In the future this may be used to automatically clean up save game files older than a user-specified number of in-game days to reduce clutter.
– The Gooey Bite and Goo Launch combat abilities now have a transformation strength of Strong instead of Weak to be consistent with the slime transformations in the Slimefall traps
– Priests and priestesses now have a low chance to spawn in the Drunken Starfish tavern in Aledock Town.

Cheat/Debug controls (patreon-backer builds only)
– Added option to teleport to North Shore just outside of Aledock Town.

Bugfixes
– The Slime Transformation Reversal Potion (Strong) should now only revert player/companions/followers to base form when they are in the Slime Gooling form and not work for any form
– Barriers that emit sound (such as the barrier in the Enchantress’ bedroom) are now assigned to the SFX audio group, making it possible to quiet or stop it when SFX or master volume has been lowered.
– Reworked how loot container interaction buttons show, allowing for multiple interaction buttons to be on-screen at once when the party is within the radius of multiple loot containers.
– Fixed a bug in the First Steps into the Fray quest unlocking the chest lore skill roll where a the critical failure outcome was mislabeled as the critical success outcome.
– Attempting to delete a timestamp should now log an error and fail “quietly” so text isn’t suppressed. This could happen at the North Shore wolf den.

v0.1.02 Alpha
New game content (quests/writing/art/etc):
– Lily in Lily’s Pleasure Palace is now a merchant with a limited but reliable selection of goods that revolve around lust.
— Added a new Potion of Transformation – Submissive Maid (Female) sold by Lily. Be warned that this transformation is not a very practical one and has stiff penalties with no real benefits, but may be used for future quests.
— Like all transformation potions, the transformation strength is weak and thus can be easily replaced by another transformation.
— Added Ring of Erotic Caress, an expensive ring that gives +3 flirtation when equipped. Lily sells this exclusively.
– Added Potion of Transformation: Dogwoman Tracker (Female). Currently these can only be purchased from potion vendors.

Miscellaneous
– The Fairy Coruptee has been added to the player+companion possible form list, allowing them to be transformed in battles fighting against them
– Corrupting Jolt now deals slightly less damage and now requires both targets to be unique
– Fireball spell weakened. It now deals .6 to .8 of base magical damage output, down from .6 to 1.0
– Disabled some battle testing tools in non-patreon-backer versions that could previously be activated with the return key
– The Rest panel now displays “Wait” instead of “Rest”. Rest was misleading players into thinking this action would restore health or remove lust, which it does not at this time (but may in the future).
– Added background graphic to brewing room in Hatfellow estate
– The drunk status effect penalties to accuracy and initiative have been reduced by 5%. The two sobering up stages are lessened as well.
– Dogperson Tracker no longer has the Hamstring Bite combat ability.
– When navigating left and right between followers in the follower detail view, the same tab should now remain selected, similar to how it works for companions.
– The terms of service panel has been tweaked to indicate progress made towards scrolling to the bottom. The red x will change into a checkmark when sufficient scrolling is completed.

Bugfixes
– Fixed a bug where items marked as unsellable, such as the carrot wine, could still be sold to merchants through the Transfer All Trade Goods and Balance buttons
– The xp bars in the party sidebar should now update immediately in the mornings after companions gain their daily catch-up xp boost.
– The Slimefall trap in the Tidswell Mines should no longer allow the player to leave without having to select a choice and attempting a skill roll first.
– Fixed some debug popup messages to state the actual message instead of “cheat/debug”, mainly on the Inventory debug channel
– Searching the junk room in the Hatfellow Estate show now only be possible when the quest is open and the player has not yet confronted Hatfellow in the tower
– The item action menu (which launches when click on an item in the party inventory) should now launch more reliably where the cursor is when the click happens
– Added a choice in the brewing room of the Hatfellow estate for the rare case that no party members have been transformed into submissive maids, or those that were are no longer in the party due to health or lust

– Added a terms of service agreement that displays after the 18+ splash screen. Players must scroll to the bottom, enable the toggle, and press Start Game to play.
— Repeated game launches will not show this terms of service screen again unless the terms of service have been changed.

Cheat/Debug controls
– Added option to remove all locked doors in the current map on the Misc debug panel
– Added option to remove all obscuring fog in the current map on the Misc debug panel
– Added option to forget the list of books the player has read in the game on the Misc debug panel, generally allowing for first-time-reading bonuses to trigger again
– Added a debug button that should show up for cheat/debug builds only on the escape menu. It looks like a blue beetle and when click, it closes the escape panel and opens the debug panel.
— This is for users whose keyboards may not have the usual way of opening the panel via the backtic ` key

Bugfixes
– Lezza’s Potion of Mental Preservation no longer teaches the Slime Supplement potion, nor any recipe directly at all.
— The player will need to prototype the recipe in the Brewing Room before being able to craft these potions regularly at the alchemy workstation. The recipe text has been updated to mention this to reduce confusion.
– Clump of Fruitwort now have the ingredient_fungus_from_forest tag, meaning they should now be able to spawn in Low-Light Fungal Patch resource nodes as originally intended

  • Transform yourself, your companions, and your followers to suit particular needs for the party–but beware! Many other forces will seek to transform you as well!
  • Travel off the beaten paths and seek your quests where and when you want. But be careful, there many ways for you and your friends to fall victim to the magic, mischief, and malice that so saturates the continent…

FAQ
Is the game free?

Currently, yes! Download it right here on Itch.io.
The early alpha releases of the game are free and are meant to gather feedback from the community. The game will remain free for at least several months, but we may make it a paid game similar to The Exile of Aphrodisia 2023 in the future as it matures. Like last time, patrons meeting a certain lifetime payment will receive FREE copies of the game.

What transformation themes are there currently in the game?
Sex transformations (primarily male to female), inanimate transformation, absorption / body part transformation, mental alterations, and bimbofication. You can enable or disable some theme tags to suppress quests that involve them from being discovered and started started. Sex transformations are core to the game’s plot and cannot be disabled.

What feature/content do you have planned next?
Random events system! Small, short repeatable encounters that happen due to a) your current map, b) certain transformations within the party, c) certain items in the party inventory, and more.
Afflictions! Like in the previous game, some transformations may progress into worse states if they are not treated quickly enough.
More companions! The third companion, Aros the lustful, poetic satyr man, is currently in the designing stages.
More companion relationship quests! Currently only Willow has one in the game upon a total relationship status of 10, but other companions will gain these private, sentimental events as well.
More quests and more transformation! Duh.
More terrains! As the party explores more of Aphrodisia, you’ll return to the desert, jungle, and snowy mountain environments present in Exile.

Is this game coming to Steam?
Eventually yes. The store page is currently a work in progress–we just need to film the trailer and submit it for review by Valve. The game will most likely be a paid product when it actually releases on Steam, similar to Exile 2023.

Will you be adding mod support?
Most likely! The game has been built so that almost all of its content is higher modular via XML files with extensive validation scripts. That said, there are some limitations around custom artwork and maps, so those are not yet mod-able at all.

Depending on public interest, will will continue to make these more user-friendly and make the addition of mods more seamless.

How does this game compare to The Exile of Aphrodisia?
The largest change is that this game is an RPG (role-playing game), instead of a survival/simulation/Oregon-trail-inspired game like Exile. Transformed party members stay in the party as often as not. Forms have advantages and disadvantages both in combat and in quests. Another large change is the player can and will transform many times throughout various quests. This does unfortunately mean that most transformations are quick and straight from form A to form B (poof transformations). This is because having inbetween stages for any two forms is not something we can do.

The new hexagonal battle system also adds a tactical element to the game that some testers have described as Fire Emblem-like.
